Hemp History Week Industrial Hemp Petition

Hemp History Week petition

Industrial hemp is important to the future of farming in the U.S. and will lead to sustainable products and provide an important food source for our nation. In order to get American farmers growing hemp commercially once again, we need Congress to remove it from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) and let states regulate it. Only when industrial hemp is removed from the CSA will our U.S. agriculture and associated processing, manufacturing, distribution and retail industries have an opportunity to develop infrastructure for this valuable crop.

Your support for Federal hemp legislation is critical. Please sign our petition and send a clear message to Congress about the need to remove industrial hemp from the CSA. Please sign the petition and also share it with others.

To Congress:

I support removing industrial hemp from the Controlled Substance Act and allowing states to regulate hemp farming. It is time to restore hemp as an agricultural commodity in the United States. Industrial hemp products are legal in the U.S., and farmers are losing out on the economic benefit. It's time for this senseless prohibition of industrial hemp to end. Please cosponsor legislation to remove hemp from the CSA and let states regulate it.
